After the Learn Mandarin Song Challenge (LMSC) earlier this year, Pinky, one of our members, has continued working on "Ye Lai Xiang" with Coach Jamie in one-on-one coaching session.
Pinky had never made live music with a pianist before, so it was a new experience for her. As her Mandarin lyric diction improved, she began singing more Mandarin songs and posting them on her own YouTube Channel.
Is it possible to learn singing online in a group setting?
The 3-Week Vocal Challenge Voice Recital
We've had students from Tokyo, Melbourne, and Kuala Lumpur participated in our PAST online group coaching events, which is very similar to LMSC.
Students selected their own songs to learn. In the group coaching sessions, they not only learned their own songs, but also observed and learned other people's songs as well. This is because the problem of one won't be the problem of another!
In making the virtual voice recital, we worked together to plan the backdrops and costumes. In addition, we learned about the equipment and techniques for recording a performance. In fact, we discussed the challenges, specifically how to record a successful take without interruption!
We celebrated our achievements through this 3-Week Vocal Challenge Voice Recital, which was a positive and supportive event!

What Can I Expect From This Program?
The Learn Mandarin Song Challenge 2.0 is a blended learning program, where self-learning and coaching are combined.
You'll get FREE access to self-study lesson videos. Once you have gained basic knowledge from the self-study lesson videos, a 3-day group coaching session will take place on Google Meet starting on November 28-30, 2022 (Monday to Wednesday).
Schedule:
In the 3-day group coaching sessions, you will meet your coaches and improve your pronunciation and music skills. In addition, we will have a guest coach who will teach MELODY IMPROVISATION if you are also interested in piano and guitar.
For those who are unable to attend the group coaching, the sessions will be recorded and posted after each session on the Facebook group. As soon as the event is over, it will be taken down.
In order to maximize your benefits from this challenge, I will also provide you with the materials below:

Regardless of your time availability, you will be able to access the program from the comfort of your home. Instructions and directions will be provided. Taking action and following through on your desire is what I expect from you.
Breakdown:
Registration
Our working hours are Malaysia Time (MYT) 9pm-5pm. Please enter the SAME email address when you fill out the registration form and when you join the Facebook classroom. It is required for verification of student identity.
When Is the Closing Date?
The 3-day group coaching will begin on November 28-30, 2022 (Tuesday to Thursday). It has a limited number of seats to ensure the quality of the course. Registration will end at 11:59pm Malaysia Time (MYT) on November 27, 2022 (Sun).
